Stan Newton knew from high school the direction of his life; he was called to preach and teach the word of God. He enrolled in Moody Bible Institute and graduated with a firm grasp of Evangelical doctrine. Yet, something was missing; the fullness of the Holy Spirit which he witnessed from his Pentecostal grandfather. During the summer before his final year at Moody he met his future wife Virginia at a ‘Jesus People’ rally. Being around Virginia and other ‘Jesus People’ Stan knew he must experience this Spirit-filled life and later while praying alone at MBI received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
One morning in 1971 while walking out of chapel Stan heard two students discussing the possibility of modern apostles and prophets. Even though it was a completely foreign thought, he turned and joined the conversation and said, “If there are apostles and prophets today, then the whole structure of the church must change.” Little did he know how true this was and how it would affect his ministry. Within four years he was involved in one of the early apostolic movements.
Stan and Virginia moved from Seattle to the state of Minnesota to Pastor their first church. Ten years and two churches’ later they moved back to Seattle where Stan pastored for 13 years. In 1998 God spoke to Stan and Virginia separately about a major change coming to their ministry; a call to the nations. After a time of additional education-Virginia a B.A. in Linguistics and Stan a Masters in Theology-they founded Kingdom Missions and bought a one-way ticket to Bulgaria. They begin ministering in Europe in the fall of 2000.
In Bulgaria and without the responsibility to feed a local church a balanced spiritual diet Stan narrowed his teaching and found his true calling; to teach the kingdom of God. Recognizing that biblical education was his future he earned his D Min. degree from Vision International University.
For decades Stan taught God’s present and advancing kingdom and in 2013 released his first book on kingdom eschatology, ‘Glorious Kingdom.’ In August the same year he met Bishop George Kouri in Jacksonville, Florida which led to an invitation to join the faculty of Apostles Theology Seminary and began teaching in 2014.
Stan and Virginia have two married sons and four grandchildren. They remain in Bulgaria teaching and demonstrating the kingdom of God. Stan conducts kingdom seminars internationally and often presents victorious eschatology in a nation for the first time.
